When you order stuff online, especially breakables, you definitely will get it delivered to you protected with styrofoam boxes. When you have plenty of these styrofoam boxes lying around your space, what do you do with them? Are they recyclable?

It depends on whether your community recycled Styrofoam. It can be recycled, but if your community doesn’t do it, there’s no point in putting it in the bin. Look online for your community’s recycling program info.
Of course it can be recycled. But no one will do it, because it will cost way more to recycle than the money you could ever get back from recycling it.
People mostly do things to make a living for themselves and their families. Some few people do things that they believe in, regardless of making a profit. This is usually about helping vulnerable people. I don’t think saving or recycling some old packaging is likely to get people on board though. Maybe you can make saving styrofoam your lifes project. Or better still, find an alternative to styrofoam that is cheap easy and made out of something groovy.
