It is hypocritical to eat meat and love Is it possible to eat meat and still care for animals? Many animal eaters would like to think of themselves as caring about animals, then why eat animals?

No they’re not, respecting and loving animals has nothing to do with diet. Just like you eating vegetables has nothing to do with hating animals for the fact that farming kills millions of animals/insects to protect crops. In the hands of a responsible farmer, animals raised for food are provided with free food, medicine, free housing m, so they eventually pay for it with their life.
It’s a short but happy life without much struggle.
Plus many vegetarians abuse animals by giving carnivores a vegetarian diet, where non-vegetarians provide pets such as dogs and cats with the meat. So dog and cat food also comes from the animals killed for food.
It’s much better for an animal than in the wild where they would be afraid every minute that some predator would chase and eat them alive while ripping them apart.
I want to first say that by being vegan and vegetarian, you are not helping to end animal cruelty. The only way to help is by buying products from reputable sources. By just not buying products you aren’t pushing for any kind of change in the way the animals are raised but if you only buy from those who treat their animals well then other farmers will see that those ways sell and change their ways to make more profit. That’s what caused organic farming to get so big.
