I know a lot of people used to feed their dogs milk back in the day, but lately some dogs have been noticed to be disturbed when they consume milk. Is it safe to feed dogs milk?

Milk is good for a treat in tiny amounts. Cow’s or goat’s milk are okay in very limited quantities. Given they are not lactose intolerant. If you are talking milk replacement for a puppy that can’t get their mother’s milk then you should look to feeding a canine milk replacement. Many dogs enjoy milk, but it’s not something I’d purposely go out and buy for my dogs.
Dogs can generally drink milk in small amounts, but many dogs are lactose intolerant and will develop diarrhea if they consume a significant amount. In any event, milk is not a recommended food for dogs, as it has no real nutritional value for them. Licking out your cereal bowl should not be a problem. Please don’t give your dog milk that is not from it’s mother, unless you want a severely upset puppy.
