I know a lot of people were complaining about the Fitness tracking on the Samsung though, not being very accurate. I did a couple runs with it and although it seemed to track the run pretty well, I believe there were some issues with accurate heart rate tracking, especially at the beginning of the workout. If you have Samsung I would go with GW2, if you have Apple I would go with the AW. Fitness tracking shouldn’t be much different either way I think. I’m sure the galaxy active is pretty nice however.
Apple watch all the way. I’m an Apple Watch wearer, I Use it to track my CF-Workouts but also triathlon-stuff. The only time I didn‘t wear it was when I did a tough mudder but I think this wouldn‘t have been a problem. I have the AW 4, and the measuring of the heartrate is very precise. I always compare when I am at the doctor for performance diagnostics and it shows the same numbers as the doctors‘ instruments. If you do a lot of outdoor running then, the Apple Watch is probably your best bet.
