Heat is the other way to kill the bacteria. Today most milk is pasteurized (brought to a quick boil, then quickly cooled), to my knowledge even Organic Milk is pasteurized. So go ahead and enjoy your cold milk from the fridge!

The most difficult thing to do when writing in first person POV is to stay in that POV throughout. Conversations or actions by other characters when the first person is not present to hear or see it for themselves cannot be included. I had to completely rewrite a chapter in one of my first person narratives when my beta reader pointed out I’d written a conversation between a married couple in their bedroom which my character could not have been present to hear.

But that’s not to say that HBO sucks, in fact I think they specialize more with high quality original content – so in terms of that factor HBO wins. So I guess it boils down to choosing variety and availability over niche quality content.
Personally, I do have a Netflix subscription. But I also have cheap cable that has HBO anyway so I can just watch it on the television. But definitely my Netflix subscription comes in handy for being able to watch lots of shows and movies anywhere, anytime so I give it edge there.
