See lessWe want validation of our experiences and our choices from as many people as possible. Maybe it’s a good thing when it comes to purely material things like when we are buying this crap or the other, because we are not sure of our choice. But what about our emotions and feelings? Do we need to show them to 100 other people who have nothing to do with that? How does the picture of the food we are about to eat going to do anything useful for the people looking at it? You’re not overreacting. I think your mom doesn’t want to accept that what you’re saying is true because that would decimate how she sees him, and for whatever reason she thinks she needs to hold onto him. Put a lock on your doors and make plans to get out of there and live on your own with your brother if you can. Your mom is in denial and trying to sick up with him, that is so wrong, I’m sorry you have to deal with that! The best thing you can do is lay your foot down put him in his place and tell him to stop. You could try getting out of there, that’s your best option. If he does anything more over the line you should call the police, keep yours self safe. And your brother too!
