I used to post a lot about my relationship, and once it went sour, or if we experienced issues, I may be vague about what was going on, and then people would inquire. Since that relationship and all of its issues subsided, I’ve become very private. If I’ve dated anyone I don’t broadcast it, and I keep things to myself. If you are a good friend, that means we talk off of social media, and you’ll know if I’m in a relationship or not, that kind of personal knowledge.

I think that for some people it could be a healthy challenge depending on situation. I have trust issues. Okay, for instance a long distance relationship taught me many thing about myself and pushed me to limits that most situations were not able to. If you can be honest with yourself and really focus in on why you feel the way you do you will begin to notice certain behaviors with yourself and the other person. Also having a distance also means that you will most likely be communicating via phone. This may give you a chance to say things differently and feel comfortable doing it because you will not be able to physically see the reaction, thus forcing you to to deal with things differently than in person.
