If there are a lot of people on the job market but few companies hiring, people are willing to take unpaid internships that lead to jobs later on. There are good internships and bad internships. The good internships I did are the reason I am employed right now. I got useful experiences out of them.

The more listening you do, the better. The most overlooked characteristic of a successful sales person is his or her ability to listen to the customer and better understand their needs. Although you are armed with a significant amount of product and industry knowledge, your ultimate goal isn’t to sell, but solve a problem for a customer.
