Community service is not always the same as volunteering, as it is not always done willingly. If a school is strictly making her students to involve in such activities, I think they’re rubbing off the satisfaction the students might get from helping their community. As the students will be performing a non-paid job, it’s only natural that they also get to derive self-satisfaction in doing it. The satisfaction won’t come if the services are enforced on the students. It really is unwise for schools to make community service compulsory for students, it should be a voluntary thing-a choice.
