The vomiting is a safety valve, it’s basically your body rejecting something that is poisoning it. Eat too much greasy food too quickly and the same will happen. Your body is training your mind with an unpleasant experience to teach you that you should drink a little less, spread out your drinks more, or abstain. What is the point of having the drinks? To feel good, party, have a good time.
Learn to pace yourself to reach that merry state but don’t venture too far beyond it — and a much better time will be had. Pace yourself, don’t let people force you to drink faster than you can. It’s not a contest who can drink the fastest. It’s fine to not to drink alcohol, don’t be pressured. Keep hydrated, alternate alcoholic drinks with soft drinks or water.

Unless your friend specifically tells you he/she is fine with it, it could definitely end your relationship with your friend. I have one friend growing up and each girl he knew I liked he would end up dating or sleeping with. This literally happened 3 times within the same amount of years. One of the times it was with a somewhat ex. It was one of those we were kind of in the process of breaking up things.
I wrote him off and lost touch for over two decades. He happened to marry my cousin which I obviously had no interest in so I finally felt safe that he wouldn’t like try to poach my wife or whoever again. I still have much resentment for the guy. Thing is, this guy is otherwise an amazing person. One of the most selfless guys you can find. He would be a great friend. Even though I have resentment, I still miss him as a friend. He just couldn’t control himself when it came to women. On the flip side, maybe you and the ex are a real good match and maybe you should be together. Maybe it is worth it. Just be prepared, if your friend doesn’t give you permission, that you may lose your friend.
