Eastern Orthodox is similar to Catholicism in tracing its origins all the way back to the first century. But it is more “touchy feely” and less intellectual. Believers tend to have a more mystical, intuitive approach to their religion. Icons are emphasized. Protestants are less mystical, often less intellectual, are very much part of the world. Protestant clerics may be married and are encouraged to be so. Protestantism feels there is no divine power passing through a succession of bishops going back to Jesus and the apostles.
