      Needle. Needle needle needle. Needle all the way. Never ever let someone pierce you with a gun. It’s so unsanitary and causes nothing but problems. Go to a highly respected piercer and get pierced with a needle. Please don’t use a gun, especially on cartilage.

What this means is that the water coming out of those fixtures is acidic and therefore harmful to your plumbing. The green stuff you see is the leftover deposits that come from acidic water affecting your pipes and fixtures. This can actually be fixed with the use of water treatment systems.
