      You can run both on the same system. There’s dual booting that allows you to boot into the desired OS. This will be the best for overall performance of both operating systems. Having both OSs on the system at the same time will not disturb the performance. There’s also the option to install one of the operating systems as the primary OS and run the other virtually. A virtual machine allows running both OSs at the same time. The virtualized machine will not perform as well as if it were running as a physical machine.

A perceived threat and acts of kindness, a feeling of being trapped, the forth component, is isolation. It develops as the narcissist play hot and cold. You learn to wait out the harsh times for the crumbs of kindness. The occasional acts of kindness becomes a addiction. The chances are very probable you do have Trauma Bonding also called Stockholm Syndrome. It’s a survival tactic when your life or lively depends on the moods of somebody does not have your best interest at heart and your welfare is tied to the moods of the captor, or in this case the narcissist.
