Work in Portugal for 6 months, pay your taxes, do some documentation and entry with immigration and get Tax number and Social security number. Get a appointment from immigration authority (time consuming may be 6 months) and apply for residency card , now you will get 2 years residency card valid throughout. If you dont have a valid visa and entered portugal illegally then pay 1year tax through work or business done, this will grant you your residence card within 8 to 14 months.
