Once he is sure you’re not abusive, the next step is to see if there is a dog you like and available. If not, he will take your name and phone number to contact you when the special dog shows up. The best thing is going to your local shelter and talking to them. It is in a shelter’s best interest to make sure each dog goes to a caring and appropriate home, so they will do their best to find the perfect match for you.
