Most women often forget about their period cramps after being pregnant for 9 months, so they feel sort of different when they experience it after childbirth. The uterus is expelling any contents and it’s healing and going back down to size. if you’re nursing, it’s common for the cramps to really occur while doing so as the stimulation causes uterine contractions. You likely won’t have a period while you’re breastfeeding, at least not for a few months.
