If you’re speaking of emotional pain, it depends on how you look at it. you don’t have to deal with heartbreak or constant states of anxiety and depression or repeatedly question your self worth. You get to think without emotional pain clouding your mind. If it’s physical, then you have a very rare condition that’s untreatable called CIP. Pain exists because our mind signals our body parts that something is wrong. Physical pain can be horrific to an extent depending on what injury or disease you’re suffering from, in this case feeling a lack of pain would be good. But on the other hand, if you had internal bleeding, it could be fatal and you wouldn’t even know you’re bleeding due to the lack of pain.

I am not so insecure as to force her to take the family name. The irony is that she used my last name when we were abroad, and nobody there could pronounce it, and changed it back to a name more pronounceable for foreigners when we came back to our home country.
