With all of the information available to almost everyone online, there’s no excuse for even asking this question. Think about it. What is it that is in salt and water that would make woman miscarry the baby she is carrying? Neither one of them is an abortifacient. How much salt would be enough, do you think? Come on. I got mine inserted barely 3 months ago, although I’m tough and stoic about pain, but this was hands down the worst pain I’ve ever felt in my life. I’m naturally very tight, so I’m guessing that made it worse than the average person. I also took 800mg ibuprofen before the procedure and had to take that for several days after. It felt like intense cramping that didn’t come in waves, it just stayed cramped. I got sweaty hot and cold at the same time, felt light headed. My doctor was excellent and the whole thing took less than 60 seconds, but I definitely had to lay there for a while after. I had a lot of cramping and bled for almost a month straight after getting it done. The cramping was so intense I would have to stop what I was doing at times and sit down because it knocked the wind out of me and I got the shakes. My body finally cycled around, and I feel great now.
