Ikigai is the highest level of desire, it may be considered to be essentially the processes of cultivating one’s inner potential or that which makes one’s life significant. In relation to Jim Collins “good to great”, ikigai can be understood as knowing one’s purpose and how to go about executing the purpose. According to Jim Collins’ concept of hedgehog which can be likened to the Ikigai, to find true purpose, you have to find that which you are passionate about, that which you’re best at, and that which drives your economic power.
