In recent years, climate change has become the biggest narrative and the biggest focus of governments for the next 10 years in the developed world. However, we’ve seen Bitcoin overcome similar challenges as well, so this battle isn’t done yet. Another reason that promotes surgery is that the employees are hired or given a job based on looks, a better looking person is more likely to get a job. Even the job application forms require a photo on it in South Korea and you get photo shopped pictures at regular photo booths and can use them even in government documents like passports and ID cards; they basically fix the faces to Korean standards. Also there is a lot of advertisements of surgery before and after all over the place-in subways and streets for example; that acts as a stimulus partly. The society in Korea is quite open to the surgery as well.
