Primarily, stay hydrated, get the sleep you need, exercise, particularly the neck and back to keep the spine stretched, and avoid foods/beverages that trigger them. As soon as you feel one coming on, drink a cup of black coffee, turn out lights and sounds and lie down as soon as possible. Massage your head and neck and relax until it passes.
