In my opinion, some of the more common ‘subtle signs’ include doors and cupboards opening and closing a lot, you may not notice when it happens, but if it always seems like a certain cabinet is open, even when you know you’ve closed it a dozen times, this may not be an accident, tapping or clicking sounds in the floor or walls, even knocking of appliances or other electronics and lights malfunctioning, batteries draining super fast, breezes, headaches and animals staring at a certain location or acting strange. If you notice these things, first look for a normal cause before assuming it’s a ghost or spirit. A fun thing to do if you think it is haunted is to light some incense and observe how the smoke goes up, if there are any anomalies or shapes formed in it. If you cannot find a mundane cause for the events, it is a good idea to respect the spirit and give it space. It was there long before you moved in, and so long as it is not harming anyone there is no real reason to get upset or demand it leaves.
