      Well, the fact that you think it could be bad tells something about you having a change of mind. Using past bad incidents to seek for affection from others could be a form of insecurity on your part. You use situations to seek for attention, and without these situations, you think that others will not care about you. Now, you’re living in self denial that those people you seek affection from may not actually entirely care about you. They only care about you because they feel they should given your situation, which if that situation wasn’t there, they might not really care about you. You should start getting validation from yourself, show yourself affection. When you show yourself love, you will definitely see that you do not need to dwell on pitiful situations to get attentions from other people.
