Loan sharks operate by offering victims short-term loans, then increasing their repayments arbitrarily and adding extra costs, often with threats of violence if money is not repaid. Such lenders are also targeting their victims online, victims often meet the loan shark via social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Snapchat and Facebook, or through dating websites. Criminals are also creating their own WhatsApp and Facebook groups that appear to be for local communities but are actually ways to maintain control over their victims. You’d be encouraged to get a loan from them but you’d never know there is more to it than meet the eyes.

I am inclined to regard people who refuse vaccination as dangerous. Some vaccines should not be given to some people, of course, that is because of the risks of severe allergic reactions. The danger of autism from vaccines is non-existent. I know of no well-authenticated case of a non-autistic child becoming autistic, and there are no instances of adults becoming autistic for any reason whatever

Whether students are experiencing a poor home life or an undiagnosed mental illness, a suicide prevention program could help guide them in the right direction. Students and teachers alike can learn how to identify warning signs, whether within themselves or those around them. Once these signs are recognized, students and staff will have the skills and knowledge they need to reach out for help. When suicide prevention resources are enabled, the risk of suicide amongst teens will decrease. Teens are a vulnerable population of individuals and to maintain proper health, both physically and mentally, they must be given the proper resources. By adding suicide prevention to a school’s curriculum, students are better able to handle and address suicidal thoughts or intentions. Prevention can save lives, especially those of younger populations who are at higher risk.

In crowdfunded journalism, individual journalists or news organizations gather funding from online crowds such as digital platforms. Journalists pitch their stories to online crowds, who are asked to donate to the story process. The power of crowdfunding is created by a large amount of small donations. In recent years, crowdfunding has become an important revenue source for journalism that may otherwise remain unfunded. Apart from funding, crowdfunding creates value by helping journalists to connect with audiences and access information that otherwise would remain beyond their reach. With its increased transparency and collaborative aspects, crowdfunding both enhances and challenges journalistic norms.
