Do volunteers get paid for their service?
Volunteers do not get paid, they’re not rendering a paid service. They’re rendering a free service to humanity, to their community. Call it giving back to the society, if you must. From the meaning of the word “volunteer”, self-will is key.

Currently, the community is accepted in 25 countries. To me, I think that is even more than enough support! Who says lgbtq community so much need support from others anyway? The State of Quebec banned discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation in 1977 becoming the first jurisdiction ever to do so! Canada then went on to become one of the first countries to pass an advanced set of anti-discrimination laws nationwide in the 1990s, which included allowing LGBT people to openly serve in the Canadian military.
