Doctors do go on leave, but such a time comes once in a while and not as often as you may think. Depending on your level in the career: a resident would be reading to pass the exam ahead of him even when he has such time instead of travelling; a consultant would be busy with his Job and may have annual leave where they are given sometime to rest, this is once in a year. When a consultant is given such time, he may be working on a project to be become a Professor. A professor in turn may be busy with other problems to attend to even when he has such time. Doctors do have time but they are preoccupied with other things and that makes them socially withdrawn.

Asthmatic patients scare away from perfumes and sprays only if they are very allergic to one of the ingredients. I am allergic to flowers. So any floral scent in anything I come into contact with makes me itch. Scented soaps, scented makeup, etc. It drove me up a wall until I was tested for allergies and found out that I’m not allergic to soap per say, just to the damn fragrances they put in nearly all soaps, laundry detergents and cleaning supplies.
