When i think of my childhood experiences, I realised the kind of parenting style my parents used was slow-parenting, while it may seem as if you are giving your child too much freedom and space, the freedom and space is actually infused with discipline. This parenting style allows kids to learn things at their own pace, while as a parent you supervise the activities but not hand hold them. Kids can be independent, carry out tasks on their own and learn from their mistakes.
Slow parenting advocates lesser scheduled activities and more time with nature and self.
Time to self is not just involved in ‘doing something’ or scheduling an activity for your child but letting them tap their creative side to figure out something that they can do at the moment with the available stuff. It allows kids to understand the kind of activity they like doing and to what extent than just pushing them to do everything available.

The life lesson i learnt very late in life is the fact that not everyone is trustworthy, this lesson, i learnt very late and in a very hard way. The other would be that the only person who cares if you succeed or fail in life is yourself. No matter how much you help the person or give to a person financially it is only a temporary fix which does nothing more then make them dependent on others or society.
