When you’ve decided to stop, don’t be too aggressive about it. Take a step at a time. You didn’t become an addict in a day, you cannot totally quit in a day. It is a gradual process of consistency. Know your reasons for quitting. You can write down these reasons, it will help you in your journey towards quitting. There are times you’d feel like smoking, in fact, there are days you’d smoke a little. Don’t consider yourself a failure. You will only be a failure if you stop your journey because of one single mistake. Don’t be too hard on yourself. When you feel like smoking, you could just eat something like snacks or chew mint gums. Have lots of snacks you could always munch on. Stay busy, it’s only when you’re idle that you’d start having the urge to smoke. Be involved in productive activities. These things will really help you in your journey to quit smoking.
