And the vast majority actively discourage their sons from getting involved, preferring them to get educations and become legitimate professionals nor businessmen. Many look down upon bosses who bring their kids into the business. Also, it’s kind of a shitty lifestyle. The days of the honor codes and loyalty are all but gone, most of the old-school groups have disappeared or been seriously weakened, and what’s left are often violent thugs, drug pushers–and addicts, and people who no longer care about harming civilians.
