Honestly, it’s not within your power to change their mind. There is really not much you can do. It’s sad and awful and even tragic. The child needs to decide that his/her happiness is in fact more important. He/she needs to move forward. And It’s best if they find a therapists’ support in this journey. It’s important in this context that the child have another person of authority to help them see that the parent’s perspective that rejects their identity, isn’t overriding or defining who they are. If I’m not going to be able to eat before then I’ll have a post-workout protein drink. Otherwise I try to eat salmon or chicken with spelt pasta or brown rice and avocados, lots of salad and greens such as broccoli or Belgian endives.

The aim is to replenish glycogen stores and to consume a quick source of protein to reduce or stop muscle catabolism.

Also, berries: blueberries, blackberries and raspberries are my favorites for dessert. These berries are great anti-oxidants to help reduce oxidative stress on your body.
