The first immigration definitely changes you a lot. As an adult, you start learning how things work from scratch. When I moved, even though Netherlands and Mexico may be relatively familiar, it still took some time to get used to the customs, and to get a better command of the language. When you live all your life in one country, it’s like you know one programming Framework. Framework. New country is a completely new Framework, with its own rules. It takes time to learn, you’re making mistakes, you’re doing certain things very inefficiently. But after some time you’re starting to “get” it! And that not only gives you an understanding of this new Framework, but you can also compare and get a better grasp of your old Framework as well.

The scripture repeatedly warns against boasting and envy and repeatedly calls for humility and satisfaction in Christ, it calls us to self-control not self-indulgence, it asks men to lead not to oppress, and trust is said to be rightly placed in only one individual person and it is not in ourselves or other men, that is in Christ. The desire for supremacy is often linked to a life saturated with insecurity. Men desperately want to be made much of who have a low sense of worth – conscious or unconscious. Men who don’t know why their life has worth seek a sense of value in making less of others.
