In my opinion, alcohol does help alleviate anxiety- but just for the moment. It is momentary. When you drink alcohol and you get a little bit intoxicated, you may forget about your anxieties and worries all for that moment but immediately after the alcohol is all cleared off your body system, your anxieties are back. The truest way to take care of anxiety is to tackle it directly, not avoiding it. Alcohol only helps you avoid it.
