The third eye does refer to something in experience. It is a metaphorical eye not a literal eye. The change is that you can observe your mind’s thinking, as if your mind were another person speaking. What does that mean? Ever notice how it is easier to spot the flaw in someone else’s statement than our own? It means you gain a degree of objectivity and don’t automatically believe your thoughts. In fact, as your mind thinks a thought with strong belief, you can sense the attachment and often catch what might be incorrect – as if someone else was speaking. It is often shocking realizing what you believe. You can see how you operate much more clearly. With a lot of practice, like riding a bike, the third eye sees more effectively. So the gap between our reactive mind taking a mistep and our third eye seeing tends to become smaller and smaller.

Tattoos are not explicitly declared as haram but it’s not halal, it is in between. The five pillars of Islam are fard meaning mandatory and Muslims who don’t complete the five pillars and living their lives will be in hellfire for disobeying Allah. However, Muslims who do the five pillars and live their lives it will depend if they go into hellfire they will spend some time until there is intercession and they will eventually be saved and go to Jannah. The fact that Muslims are not allowed to watch movies, listen to music, party, dance, have tattoos, gambling, drinking, Feminism/LGBT (Abortion, homosexuality, androgyny), pork, being uncircumcised, masturbation are Sunnah of the prophet Muhammad because he detested these things and required Muslims to follow his lifestyle if they wanted to receive Jannat Al Firdous (The highest level in paradise). It’s not required for a Muslim to follow the Sunnah of Muhammad, it’s optional. Performing these activities is simply an act of freewill, most people will not do hem because it doesn’t align with their moral standards. That is why, some Muslims will condemn tattoos but accept henna just because it is a temporary drawing on the skin.
