It’s not always a corrupting influence if you have a solid set of values in the beginning. Being poor doesn’t allow you the luxury for deep introspection to think about higher needs, but builds character the hard way. Being rich affords you the luxury to think and pontificate on more abstract concepts with more freedom of mind.
