His earning potential shouldn’t matter. All of these things can change for reasons beyond anyone’s control. What really matters is loyalty, trust, commitment. You can’t buy this. You have to earn and develop it. Then nurture and maintain it.

I think they have no difference. I use both when I'm speaking all the time. so my personal advice is choose your favorite and use it. I just use both in my head in a sentence and whichever sounds better to my hearing is what I use. Sometimes I just use whichever comes to my head first.
