Basically there are many ways in which you can apply for PR. One of them, which is most commonly know is Express Entry program. In this, the points are calculated based upon your work experience, your studies, your current situation in Canada and also if you have someone who is citizen of Canada. These all points are summed up and then if you get Points more than the cutoff, you will be invited for the application of PR. The last CRS cutoff for May 2020 was 447. Which is quite low from the previous one.
