Has putting a water-damaged phone inside raw rice ever worked?
I ran my phone through the washing machine four months ago. Upon discovery it was not functioning. I placed it in front of a fan for a day and it still wasn't working. I ran my phone through the washing machine four months ago. Upon discovery it was not functioning. I placed it in front of a fan for a day and it still wasn’t working. Then into a plastic container full of white rice for two days. Lo and behold it worked and it is still working with no problems. So yes it may rescue your phone. My phone is a Samsung. Rice acts as a desiccant and naturaly absorbs moisture. Keeping the container airtight forces the rice to absorb the only available moisture- in the phone.
