I think it’s mostly common for older employees to tell newly recruited employees this at workplace. Some may be right for telling you to cut the efforts you put into the job simply because they’ve been there before you, and it’s possible some are just saying that out of being spiteful. Name one employer that has your best interest in mind. They don’t, and they never will. They are not loyal to you in anyway, and will be quick to fire or lay you off for any reason. I’m just reminding you to be wary of putting too much stake in your employer.

If the symptoms of postpartum depression linger on for a few weeks, than it is necessary for you to seek treatment. Postpartum Depression can be cured in a number of ways. For normal baby blues, it can be treated by bringing lifestyle changes and getting socially involved with other moms and family members. In severe cases, it would be better to seek a professional medical advice.

Sleep paralysis is common and harmless, but it’s common for people to panic when they experience it. No person has ever died from sleep paralysis alone, to my knowledge. On the other hand, the terror experienced could cause heart attacks in people with heart problems. But if you find people dead in their beds, they’re no longer able to tell you about their sleep paralysis… If you’re otherwise healthy— no heart problems— then, it can’t kill you.
