I don’t post anything about my relationship at all. I don’t post anything about death or illness either unless it’s something I need lots of people to know at once. I’m a fairly private person and want to keep my problems between me and the people they involve, and that’s it. When my wife was diagnosed with cancer and progressively got worse, she made us promise not to post anything about it on social media because she’s also a private person and didn’t want everyone worrying about or pitying her. Most of the time I don’t feel like shit like that is appropriate for social media.

Relationships are built on trust, and long distance relationships require much, much more of it. If you’re insecure and can’t fully trust your partner when they are far away from you, then my advice is just stop before the relationship eats you up and spits you out as a crazy person who keeps trying to put pieces to a puzzle that doesn’t exist.
