The financial, emotional, and social stresses are twice as great for one parent than for two parents. At least these stresses can be shared between two, legal parents and this is not possible for one, legal parent.

Most often illegal immigrants have fake social security cards and identification cards. There are plenty of people in California and along the border who have the ability to make identification cards that look good enough to get hired with. Most often they are seeking employment with companies that do not use e-verify and are willing to hire illegals. I’m talking about small businesses like garages, construction companies, cleaning companies, restaurants and other mom and pop operations. As long as they have a social security number that allows the employer to pay their payroll taxes, the employers don’t care that they are illegal.
