Setting up a kdp account is free, it’s free as it come. You’re not required to pay any money while setting up your kdp account, however you need to provide your bank details and tax information before you’re able to publish. Ah yeah! Publishing high content books like fictions and on fictions may require you to spend some money if you’re not a writer yourself as you’d have to require the services of ghostwriters in that aspect. Same thing goes for cover page designs, it’s something anyone can do whether you’re a designer or not. But you know getting the service of a designer makes it doper and better.
Basically, you do not need money to set up your KDP account. However, for the tools you’d be using to create your books, such as kdp publisher rocket, bolt, and the likes, you may be required to pay some money to be allowed to use the services. These tools also provide a wider range of vector files, KDP interiors, graphics, and fonts to use. You can customize and combine fonts, graphics, and images to create unique content without any artistic skills necessary and speed up the publishing of your content.
