If you have a checking or savings account, your best bet would be to apply for a credit card from that bank. For your first card, you might have to get a secured credit card. That requires depositing $500 or more in the bank, and then you can charge up to that amount. A secured credit card is not a debit card. If you use it you will have to make a minimum payment each month. You can apply for credit card by visiting branch of the bank or by visiting bank’s website. Assuming you have never had a credit card, you have to understand the process of getting one and check that some things are in place, things like; credit score, your income, previous loan and ability to pay back.
You can contact your credit card provider through bank branch visit or call the customer care they will definitely help you regard with this matter. Alternatively, you can login into your bank application or net banking and go through the credit card section in which you can find the section like personal loan. Input you desired loan amount and bank representative will call you. Most card companies will grant a card to a new applicant – so long as their credit history checks out.
