  1. I would suggest you see a dentist. The most common cause of gum receding is bacterial infection of gums or accumulation or plaque around your teeth. It can also be caused by smoking tobacco, imbalance brushing technique and hormonal imbalance. So what you need is antibiotics and cleansing of your teeth called as scaling. After this you should maintain good oral hygiene, by brushing twice a day, flossing so that the condition doesn’t reverse again.

  2. Most times, the cause of receding gums is often as a result of force; it can be from using a toothbrush that is too hard or using too much force while brushing. Brushing using the wrong technique can also lead to receding gums. Use a soft or ultra-soft brush while brushing in slow, soft circles aimed at the gumline with minimal pressure. Oil pulling won’t fix your gums. If the recession is bad enough you can get a gum graft, outside of that all you can do is stop it from getting worse.
