No, please do not approach brands for the sake of collaborations, it will undermine your work. You need not to contact any brand for the collaboration. If you have the good enough content on particular topic, brands will come to you themselves. When you contact, there is no chance to get accepted by advertisers. That is just waste of time. Use that time to produce good content, you will definitely receive Emails from top brands.
You can apply to the brand’s ambassador program yourself either on their website or through social media DMs. It could be quite frustrating and discouraging though, as it’s kind of rare that brands actually reply – just imagine, how flooded they are, especially if a brand is big and everyone wants to work with them. It’s quite a common problem for Influencers now to get noticed by brands, so don’ worry, you are not alone and there are solutions to this.
