It’s not that compulsory, well I think. It’s high time employees start putting themselves first too, if an employer wants to sack you, they will not give you notice. It is very rare for an employer to give notice to an employee to let them know they’d be sacked. So, if you’re not opportune to give a resignation letter before leaving a workspace, then so be it. But it’s not advisable to leave on a fight note anyway.
It is not utterly compulsory to drop a resignation letter before leaving a company, but is it a wise thing to drop a resignation letter or at least give a two weeks notice before you leave a particular company. When you leave a company on a good note, it is always easy to go back there to request for anything or even go back there to work (you can’t really tell), giving a resignation letter or giving a two weeks notice helps you maintain the relationship you may have with your employer.
