I always catch my dog licking his balls and it’s so disgusting when he brings that same tongue near my body.

  1. It’s simply a hygienic function for them, the genital area is a place in the body where infection is common, it’s in their best interest to keep that area as clean as possible. That is the only sane reason I can think of, I’ve heard people say other reasons but I don’t want to think a dog pleasures himself by licking his balls. Sick right?

  2. Well, I guess they kick their balls because they get itchy down there and probably their paws can’t reach down. Human beings get itchy down there too and we scratch, no? Also, it’s a way fo cleaning their genitals to stay clean. Dogs lick every part of their body that can be reached. It’s a natural part of their grooming habits.
