As flexible as working from home may sound and can be, there are a lot of perks to it. To be very honest, it take some strong willpower to get you out of that bed and start working. I was working remotely, I realised I spent a lot of time with my tv, that was the period I spent the most time with my tv. I had no routine, and I deliberately left work undone until deadlines kept knocking. This is eagerness to work when you’re in a workplace, you don’t feel that at home. Also, at workplace, there are your colleagues who don’t make the work boring for you.
Following a routine is a daily struggle when you work remotely. You simply assume you have time, lots of it, then you continue to procrastinate. Although, you may have lots of time, but with poor management, it becomes so little. Taking naps and running errands in between works also eat deep into your time, thus, making you lag behind in carrying out your duties. This is not to mention distractions, there are a lot of distractions attached to working from home, only well disciplined individuals can perform greatly while working from home.
