  1. Saying there is nothing like white privilege is the biggest hypocrisy theory ever. There is white privilege and it is at play every now and then, in every city and every corner. I remember growing up, I lived with my foster parents in Beverly Hills, although I sort of grew up in a black neighborhood, so I pretty much had friends back there. I was back to my childhood neighborhood after a while, we all decided to enter a shop to get some froyo, the shop pretty much had only white folks seated. As we “black kids” waltzed in, I could see the uncertainty written on the face of the owner who was a woman. She walked up to my group and told us we weren’t welcome. I told her and insisted we’d like to get froyo from her, she refused and called the cops on us. We were all teenagers as at then, so white privilege is truly a thing. Always has been.

  2. When I think of white privilege I think of the fact that whites, especially white males, rarely suffer from negative stereotyping. Whereas other groups are often defined by negative stereotypes and have to work hard to overcome them, whites are often put on a pedestal and certain things are assumed. For example, a white guy going to a foreign country, especially an African country, is generally assumed to come from great wealth and social status.
