What often causes people to record their conversations or moments with others without their outright consent is so they can use as proof just incase anything happens in the nearest future. While this may seem as a safety move for you, what about the other person? You are clearly violating the rights of the other person and if they get to know about this, they can take it up and sue you.
Depending on each state laws, it can be a crime to record confidential conversations without consent from both parties. If you’re in a state that sees this act as a punishable offense, you can sue anyone who records you without your given consent.
