Comparing yourself can do you as much good as it can also harm you if you’re not careful. Not everyone has the same journey in life, we all have different routes. So basically when you compare yourself with someone who sort of have it easy for them probably due to some family’s trust fond, you may be going too harsh on yourself, who is building from scratch.
As much as we’re often told never to compare ourselves to others, while it may be partly true, it can be partly damaging too. It all depends on the reason you’re doing so. Some times, at some major points in life, it is good to compare oneself to others, mostly your peers, this allows you out a check on yourself, track your growth and put effort and pressure where you need to. Some people go to the extreme when it comes to comparing themself to others, this they take it to a whole different negative level, pretty sure that is why it is not always advised to compare oneself to others.
